One ANPR System Across Multiple Locations
Videcom can connect remote ANPR sites using suitable fixed IP networks, fibre, secure wireless or mobile data. Edge processing means only the required events, metadata and associated images need to be passed back centrally, depending on the selected system architecture.
A central database allows multiple locations and lanes to be searched and managed as one system. This is particularly useful where an organisation operates geographically separated entrances, car parks, estates, recycling centres or other vehicle-controlled sites.
The same network can support associated CCTV, barriers, gates, access control and other authorised operational equipment. Resilience, bandwidth and remote-support requirements can be designed around the individual site and the importance of the connection.
With sites brought together centrally, operators can carry out estate-wide vehicle searches and reporting rather than treating each location as a separate ANPR installation.
