Software Support
Maintaining active Luxriot support keeps your software eligible for current releases, bug fixes, compatibility updates and manufacturer-backed technical support. This helps keep the VMS aligned with changing Windows environments, camera models and new Luxriot functionality.
New Luxriot EVO S and EVO Global licences include 2 years Support & Updates. After this, support can be renewed with flexible 1, 2 or 3-year plans. Luxriot also offers Premium Lifetime Support & Updates on selected licences for customers wanting longer-term coverage.
Typical Support & Updates cost compared with software licence price
| 1 Year | 2 Years | 3 Years | Premium Lifetime* |
|---|---|---|---|
| 14% | 20% | 26% | 52% |
* Typical example based on EVO S channel licensing. Support pricing varies by licence and product. Premium Lifetime availability and terms apply. Contact Videcom for current pricing.
What happens after the initial support period?
New Videcom Luxriot EVO S and EVO Global licences are supplied with an initial software subscription covering support and updates. When that subscription period expires, the installed licensed software does not simply switch off. However, operating without current support can restrict access to updates and manufacturer-backed technical assistance, and can make future server migration or major change more difficult.
Think of support as maintaining the system, not renting it. The value is in keeping the software estate supportable, current and easier to move forward when hardware or operating systems change.
Why maintain support?
Maintain a supported route to current releases, fixes and compatibility improvements rather than leaving the platform frozen at an older version.
Server hardware eventually fails or reaches end of life. Maintaining the software position makes planned migration far easier than dealing with an unsupported system during an emergency.
Videcom can investigate the system and, where appropriate, escalate supported software issues through Luxriot rather than leaving the customer without a manufacturer-backed route.
New cameras, firmware and integrations continue to appear. Staying current helps preserve compatibility options as the wider CCTV estate evolves.
Servers and operating systems change over time. A maintained platform is easier to manage as IT standards and security requirements move forward.
The best time to review server migration and support status is while the system is healthy, not after the recording server has failed.
Videcom support is more than a renewal notice
Videcom can review licence status, software version, server hardware, storage, operating system, camera compatibility and planned changes so customers understand what should be maintained and why.
Tell us your licence, version and current server details. Whether you need a subscription renewal,
help with expired support, additional channels, an upgrade or a server replacement, Videcom can review
the position before it becomes an urgent problem.
